Description

This is a 3 day instructor-led course. This audience is comprised of professional .NET software developers who use Microsoft Visual Studio in a team-based, medium-sized to large development environment. Members of the audience have experience consuming services within their Web and/or Windows Client applications and are interested in learning to develop their own service-oriented applications (SOA) using WCF Services. Members of the audience are experienced users of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 SP1 or newer releases of the Visual Studio product. The audience has some experience using Visual Studio 2010 for either Windows Client or Web application development.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students should have the following experience:
- Conceptual understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience developing n-tier applications that consume WCF services
- Ability to implement simple network programming tasks, such as issuing a Web request
- Ability to call a WCF Service from a Web or Windows Client application
