Instructors who do the work

ISInc has been training the business community for 44 years. In that time the one thing that has not changed is what makes a class worth attending: an instructor with hands on knowledge, who has done the work outside a classroom and can answer the question behind your question.

We put your needs first by listening to you and adapting our services to meet your changing requirements as you adopt new technologies. That applies to a single seat on a public class and to a program built for a whole department.

How classes are delivered

Public classes run live online. An instructor teaches in real time, you work in hands on labs, and you can ask questions and get answers as you go. It is not a recording and it is not self paced.

For a team, the same classes can run privately on dates you choose, either online or on site at your own location. Above a handful of people that usually costs less than buying individual seats, and the discussion is better because everyone works on the same systems.

Why the catalog is wider than one company

No training company employs an expert in everything. We work with a network of training partners, so the catalog you are choosing from covers the subjects you actually need rather than the handful any one provider happens to staff. Where a partner instructor is teaching a date, the schedule says Partner led.

What does not change is who you deal with. You book through us, you are invoiced by us, and every class your people take appears in one account, whoever stands at the front of the room.

Classes that actually run

The hard part of scheduling training is not finding an instructor. It is getting enough people who want the same class in the same week. A class with three people booked gets cancelled, and everybody who arranged cover and blocked out five days starts again.

Working with partners changes that arithmetic, because a date is not carried by one provider alone. Classes that would otherwise be too thin go ahead. That is why so much of our schedule is marked confirmed to run, and it is worth checking that label wherever you book: a cheaper seat on a class that gets cancelled costs more than the difference.

What a seat includes

• Live instruction for the full length of the class
• Courseware and lab access for the duration
• Official vendor curriculum where the vendor requires it
• A record of attendance in your training history

Customized training

A public class is written for a general audience. When that is not close enough, we build the course around your environment: the versions you run, the systems you support, the requirements you have to meet. Sometimes that means adapting a course that already exists, sometimes writing a new one. We will tell you which of the two you need rather than selling you the larger piece of work.

Booking a seat

1. Add the seats you want. Nothing is charged at this point.
2. We confirm the date and the details with you.
3. You get joining instructions, or a call if anything needs to change.
4. Then we invoice, or process the purchase order.

If the honest answer is that a different class fits better than the one you were about to book, that is the answer you will get.

Keeping track of who has trained

Every organization we work with has an account showing the classes its people have taken, what is booked, and what is waiting to be confirmed. It reads straight from our registration system, so it is current rather than a monthly export. Sign in to your account.

Paying

• Purchase orders and government purchase cards
• Invoicing at net 30
• W-9 and supplier registration forms on request
• Prepaid training, if one approval a year suits you better than twelve
