Module 1Course Introduction

Module 2Project Basics

• Basic concepts of project management including project workflow, roles, and constraints

Module 3Project Scope

• Introducing the project charter as a pre - flight checklist, covering object ives and
• requirements, constraints, stakeholders, product description. We’ll also cover the scope
• statement and creation of the Work Breakdown Structure.

Module 4System Development Lifecycles

• We’ll cover the most common SDLC models including predictive, agile, and hybrid, dive
• into the common phases and deliverables, and discuss the benefits of using a defined
• lifecycle model

Module 5Project Schedule and Resources

• How is a schedule developed? Through defining activities and resource needs,
• sequencing activities, and estima ting durations, we’ll see how to pull together a realistic
• project schedule and set up a team with the right resources to get the job done.

Module 6Project Budget

• We’ll cover methods for estimating costs, and determining a realistic budget

Module 7Project Risk

• Covers the basics of risk management, from risk identification and analysis to
• development of risk responses using industry standard risk response strategies, in order
• to address the uncertainties faced by your projects.

Module 8Project Communications

• A project manager spend s a vast majority of their time communicating. This critical skill is
• broken down to look at the potential barriers disrupting the communication process, and
• strategies a project manager can use to maximize the effectiveness of their project
• communication with a wide variety of stakeholders and situations.

Module 9Leadership

• We’ll look at the importance of leadership for a project manager, and how this role can
• change through the life of a project, including team building, coaching, motivating,
• influencing, and dev eloping the team. This includes the concept of looking back
• periodically using a review process to make continuous improvements.
