Get hands-on instruction and practice implementing effective IT Service Management with System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager in this course. System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager provides change management, incident and problem management, release management and service request fulfillment in your organization. In this course, you will learn to adopt a combination of processes and functions from many different IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) or MOF (Microsoft Operations Framework). You will learn how to configure Incident and Problem Management, configure Service Requests as well as Activity, Change and Release Management while maintaining requirements for corporate standards. You will learn how to configure some of the key new features in Service Manager such as the Service Catalog, Reporting and Analytics, Service Level Management, and the Self-Service Portal. You will learn how to automate and manage business process by integrating Service Manager with Orchestrator. You will learn how to customize Service Manager for your environment and create custom forms to collect and store information from in-house line-of-business applications. You will learn how to troubleshoot Service Manager and how to perform disaster recovery for key Service Manger components. As part of the learning experience, you will perform hands-on exercises in a virtual lab environment. This course is designed for experienced IT professionals who support medium to large enterprises and have experience administering Windows Server 2012. NOTE: This course is based on System Center 2012 R2.
