This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to administer and automate Microsoft SQL Server 2005 databases and servers. This course focuses on the need to maintain administering and automation information.
Students should understand replication; have working knowledge of source control software;
have working knowledge of networking; have basic working knowledge of Active Directory directory service infrastructure; be able to design a database to third normal form (3NF);be familiar with design models; have basic monitoring and troubleshooting skills; have experience using Microsoft Visio; have working knowledge of the operating system and platform and have basic knowledge of application architecture.
