Learn advanced administrative skills common to Linux systems.

Description

In this course students will learn advanced Linux Enterprise Server administration skills. Learn how to perform the following Linux system advanced administration tasks for install Novell SLES 9/10;
configure the network manually;
configure network services; secure a SLES 9/10 Server; manage backup and recovery; develop Shell Scripts;
compile software from source; health check and performance tuning; and manage hardware and component Changes.
These are advanced administrative skills common to an experienced administrator in an enterprise environment. The final day of class is reserved for a Live Fire exercise that tests your advanced SLES 9/10 administration skills

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students should complete the prerequisite courses which are the LINUX Fundamentals (Course 3036) and LINUX Administration (Course 3037) or have experience managing Linux servers in a networked environment
