Description

This course is designed to familiarize students with Virtual Server 2005 features, configuration and customization options. In addition, it provides information on best practices and scripting virtual machines. Classroom lectures are designed to provide in-depth information about installing, administering, configuring and maintaining Virtual Server 2005 and virtual machines. The labs will give students hands-on experience installing and configuring Virtual Server 2005, creating and configuring virtual machines, installing guest operating systems and attaching scripts to virtual machines.
In addition, this course discusses key troubleshooting methodologies and known issues in Virtual Server 2005. Hands-on lab sessions prepare you to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Prerequisites

PSS support professionals are the primary audience. However, the course is suitable for anyone who needs to work with Virtual Server 2005. Hands on labs reinforce topics covered during the classroom lectures. Participants perform all lab tasks on their own computers. This provides an opportunity for participants to receive hands on experience with all aspects of the demonstrated technologies. This course requires that participants meet the following prerequisites: familiarity with Microsoft Windows and x86 PC architecture and experience supporting Windows.
