Description

This course is designed for individuals who will use Microsoft Office Project 2003 as a tool to assist them in managing projects. The topics in this course cover the critical skills necessary to create and modify a project plan file that contains tasks, resources and resource assignments. During the first day you will use your project management skills to create a complete project plan. On the second day, you will build upon that knowledge and work with a project plan once it has entered the project implementation phase. You will exchange project plan data with other applications, update project plans, create custom reports, and reuse project plan information.

This course is designed for a person who has an understanding of project management concepts, who is responsible for creating and modifying project plans, and who needs a tool to manage those project plans.

Prerequisites

Students should attend the following courses or have equivalent knowledge and skills: PRFND, Project Management Fundamentals, to gain an understanding of project management concepts and Windows 2000 or XP. A basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is helpful.
