Description

Most application developers gain some basic SQL skills out of necessity. But then they stop there, never realizing how much they are missing out on. The goal of this course is to show you the power that's available to you through SQL, so that you can create business applications that handle database data more effectively.

Prerequisites

Some development experience is helpful. If you plan to use C# or Visual Basic to work with a SQL Server database, you need to have some experience using C# or Visual Basic to write the ADO.NET code.

C# students should have completed course ISI-1166, Object Oriented Programming with Visual Basic 2008 Level 1 and course ISI-1196, Object Oriented Programming Using Visual C# 2008-Level 2 or course ISI-1116, Programming with Visual Basic .NET 2008 for Experienced Programmers or have equivalent knowledge and skills.

Visual Basic programmers should have completed courses ISI-1166, Object Oriented Programming with Visual Basic 2008 Level 1 and ISI-1196, Object Oriented Programming Using Visual C# 2008-Level 2 or Course ISI-1116, Programming with Visual Basic .NET 2008 for Experienced Programmers or have equivalent knowledge and skills.
