Description

This instructor-led, hands-on course is one of the classes you will need to take if your job responsibilities include entry-level information technology (IT) professional or personal computer (PC) service technician support. This course can benefit you in two ways. Whether you just want to learn how to work with computer hardware or if you want to prepare for the CompTIA A+ exam, this course will provide you with the information you need. This course also helps you acquire the skills needed to perform hardware technician duties with confidence.
During structured hands-on activities, each student will work on a computer. You'll build on your end-user background knowledge as you acquire the specific skills required to install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair PC hardware components and systems. Learn to perform preventative maintenance on basic personal computer hardware.

Prerequisites

End-user skills with Windows-based personal computers, including the ability to:
• Start up and shut down the computer.
• Log on to a computer or computer network.
• Run programs.
• Move, copy, delete, and rename files in Windows Explorer.
• Browse and search for information on the Internet.
