This course is for the new user of Adobe Photoshop CS3 and assumes no experience with this application. The topics cover the fundamental concepts and features you'll need to master this digital imaging program.
This course covers many new features in Photoshop CS3 that let you edit filter effects at any time; Zoomify for zooming in and panning large, high-resolution images; and the Align Content feature for one-step alignment of several similar layers. In addition, learn about the new Quick Selection tool that makes complicated selections with a single click; the new interface common to the Creative Suite 3 family of products and enhancements to the Camera Raw forms, the Vanishing Point filter and Adobe Bridge.
This course is designed to cover the basic image editing features of Adobe Photoshop CS3. It is also designed as one in a series of courses for students pursuing the Adobe Certification Exam for Adobe Photoshop CS3, and it is a prerequisite to taking more advanced courses in the Adobe Photoshop CS3 series.
This course assumes that students are familiar with the basic concepts of using personal computers and have used a mouse and keyboard. Students should also be familiar with the components that make up the PC, including input, output, and storage devices.
Students should also be fairly comfortable working in a Windows environment and be able to use Windows or Apple Mac OS X to manage information on their computer. Specifically, they should be able to navigate to information stored on the computer, manage files and folders, and work with multiple windows at one time. Students should be familiar with terms such as computer memory, data files, and program files.
No prior knowledge of Photoshop is assumed.
