Learn the fundamentals of programming using the ActionScript programming language.

Description

Macromedia Flash 8: ActionScript is designed to teach experienced Flash designers the fundamentals of programming Flash Player content using the ActionScript programming language. The course is task-based, with students learning by doing. You will build an animated visual game in Flash, and learn core programming skills, terminology, and key aspects of the Flash Player along the way. Along with thoroughly covering the fundamentals of programming in ActionScript, the course focuses on best practices, stressing the importance of readable, self-documenting, maintainable code.

Prerequisites

This course is for experienced Macromedia Flash users who want to learn the fundamentals of programming using the ActionScript programming language.
Students should have attended the following course or have equivalent experience prior to taking this course: Completion of the Macromedia Flash 8 Rich Content Creation course, (Course FL801), or equivalent experience with: Flash drawing tools; Flash symbol creation; Flash Timeline based animation; Flash document testing and publishing; The Flash integrated design environment (IDE)
