Have Software Assurance? Don’t Let Your Training Vouchers Expire!

Many Microsoft License packages include the option for Microsoft Software Assurance. If your organization has an Enterprise Agreement, or have purchased Software Assurance with your current license package, be sure to take advantage of the free training or consulting services available to your organization.

With the Microsoft Software Assurance Training Vouchers benefit, you receive training vouchers for courses that are designed to help IT professionals and developers deploy, manage, and support your organization’s infrastructure. Training is instructor-led and delivered by ISInc, the premier authorized training partner for delivering learning products and services on Microsoft technology. Training vouchers help you do the following:

  • Support your software investment by preparing your IT staff to efficiently deploy, maintain, and support new technologies.
  • Provide your developers with the technical expertise to build line-of-business applications for your organization.

You can convert unused training days and apply them toward the Desktop Deployment Planning Services or Information Work Solution Services Software Assurance benefits. These benefits are available from Microsoft Certified Partners, which provide services related to deployment, migration, and management of Microsoft technologies.

How does it work?

Training vouchers entitle you to receive courses from ISInc for a specific number of training days. The number of days awarded varies by product and by the number of qualifying licenses for which Software Assurance is acquired.

Your Software Assurance Benefits Administrator assigns training days and associated training vouchers to designated individuals on the Microsoft Volume License Services (MVLS) Web site.

The right to access the Training Voucher benefit expires with your Software Assurance coverage. If you have created a training voucher and reserved it with a qualified CPLS before the expiration of your Software Assurance coverage, the voucher will be valid for 180 days after the date it was created. Training vouchers not reserved with a qualified CPLS before the end of your Software Assurance coverage will expire and be forfeited, so be sure to use them!
